Overview

As an intern at Truth Initiative, I helped plan, execute, and evaluate 3 youth summits focused on tobacco prevention and advocacy. In preparation for the summits, I designed, launched, and managed the content of a templated app that guided youth attendees through the summit activities. I did this while considering technological limitations and was given the Guidebook app to create the event’s navigation.

Design Process

I sat down with my supervisor to identify what features our youth attendees would need to navigate the summit. We identified basic needs such as general info, push notifications, summit schedule, and links. I then used brand guidelines to produce mockups that met these needs.

After the first 3-day summit, I observed our attendees’ needs and then went back to the drawing board to ideate and add final fixes to meet the observed needs. Below are the final mockups from the Los Angeles summit.
